Mapping the Holy Land – From the Vault Collections Showing

Historians and geographers have long held interest in early depictions of the region known within Abrahamic faith traditions as “the Holy Land.”

In this From the Vault collections showing, maps from the sixteenth to early twentieth centuries show a range of historical perspectives of the Southern Levant. This showing was specially curated by Valentina Barletta, our Visitor Services & Exhibitions Assistant.

This free showing will be hosted Friday, August 28 in the Learning Center with a staff member from the Leventhal Center available to answer questions.
