This course offers a simple introduction to the Python programming language for creating maps using code, rather than a visual software interface. It also includes basic methods for collecting and cleaning data sets from the web.
The course requires Mapmaking 101: Introduction to Mapmaking as a prerequisite, or else prior experience with digital maps.
This workshop is located in the instructional computer lab on the mezzanine level of the Johnson Building at the Central Library in Copley Square.
Registration is not required, but spots are limited. Seating will occur on a first-come-first-serve basis.
