Consider Cyprian Southack as possible influence (or cartographer?)? Some stylistic similarities with his illustrated maps in the "New England Coasting Pilot" (Maps C.26.f.23.), particularly Louisbourg. Also, some similarities with Southack's known hand - see the manuscript annotation to the final verso in "New England Coasting Pilot" (Maps C.26.f.23.) and compare documents in the collection of the Maine Historical Society (Coll. 420, Box 9/7 in the Fogg Autograph Collection). Southack was certainly in Boston in 1711 when this map is dated; Sir Hovenden Walker stayed with him prior to an expedition to Quebec - Dictionary of Canadian Biography. See also Add.MS.15487, page 104 for Cyprian Southack and also compare pages 103 and 102 for maps surveyed by George Mitchell.
